、Chemical Name: Sodium Sulfate
、Molecular Formula : Na2SO4
、Molecular Weight: 142.04
、CAS: 7757-82-6
、Character: It’s white monoclinic crystal or crystalline powder, odorless. It tastes bitter and salty. It’s also called anhydrous mirabilite. Relative density is 2.68. Melting point is 884℃. It’s soluble in water and glycerin, insoluble in ethanol. Aqueous solution is alkaline. When exposed to air, it’ll easily absorb moisture and turn into aqueous Sodium Sulfate. Fine anhydrous Sodium Sulfate with high purity is called glauber salt.
、Usage: It’s used as caramel pigment manufacturing agent and edible pigment diluents.
、Packing: It is packed with polyethylene bag as inner layer, and a compound plastic woven bag as outer layer. The net weight of each bag is 25kg.
、Storage and Transport: It should be stored in a dry and ventilative warehouse, kept away from heat and moisture during transportation, unloaded with care so as to avoid damage. Furthermore, it must be stored separately from poisonous substances.
